Hey Jeremy,
Could you tell me the deal with the AC jr.?? I saw that you posted here (3/16) that you received 16 units and you only will have one left for sale. I thought this is great because I’m on the “waiting list” and I should be able to get mine now, I think I was number 9 on the list.

So, I called today to find out what was going on (because I didn’t receive any email like I have in the past when I was on the waiting list for other items). I was told that the units were all sold already and I would have to wait for the next shipment, 2-3 weeks. I was also told that I should have ordered one over the phone instead of signing up for the waiting list. I did try to put my order in for one, by phone, at the beginning of March and was told that PA didn’t take pre orders and the BEST way for me to get one would be on the waiting list.

Jeremy, you have taken care of me in the past (cracked Aqua Medic tank but not the heater yet) but is PA getting to big to take care of its customers now?

So, what happened? Did I get passed over?

Hi Jon,

Unfortunately for consumer's the AC JR is in huge demand right now. We brought in 16 of the new models last week, which I posted about, and that we only had one left, of which all of these sold for preorders / backorders. We have a waiting list online of over 45 people, and we don't want to send out that waiting list notifying those people that we have one in stock, so we sat on that one for a day. Luckily we did as we had a customer who we had to reship, and use that last one. That takes up the first 16 units.

We have another batch of 16 coming, which 11 of them are spoken for already, with preorders / backorders. So most likely we will not be able to put out the wait list once again to notify of good stock on our shelves.

This leads to where you were told that we do not accept preorders. This is the farthest from the truth. We have always accepted preorders / backorders, and will continue to do so. We do have a couple of new customer service associates working, so it is most likely a training / communication issue on my end, which I apologize for. I will make sure that everyone knows that we do accept preorders, and this is by far the most guaranteed way to assure yourself a product when our shipment comes in and that no one can get in front of you.

Our waiting list is a notification service only. It does not guarantee any spot in line, and is not considered a preorder. Once stock comes in on our shelves we will send a mass email out to those who have signed up to be notified of stock. After that email goes out for the "wait list" it is first come, first serve.

Again I apologize for one of our associates telling you that we do not accept preorders. If you'd like, drop me an email at jeremy@premiumaquatics.com and I will work out a deal for you to try and make up for it.

I don't think this is an isolated problem. I ran into the same problem when I called to order one and was told to sign up on the waiting list, that none were available for at least a week (about three weeks ago). Well I signed up for the list and never heard anything when you got the last batch in. Now I find out it is only a notfication system. Good thing somebody put this note up or I might be waiting a long time!
