Jetski's new 250G

that TV is MASSIVE!!

Yes. 55". Else would look small beside the 2m tank. (At least that's how I reasoned with my wife) ;-)

Your tank looks really good and in tune with the rest of the house.
Now it's just to sit and enjoy the mad coral growth for a few years.

DNA, thanks for your earlier suggestion on cabinet design. I have adopted it and really liked it.

Thanks guys for the compliments. Still early days and a lot more work ahead. Good thing is finally got the jerry cans and would setup my dosing this weekend.

Going to add 10 more sps. Got their sites selected.

LS to add:
10 x dispar
maybe a smaller group of bartlett
Mystery Wrasse
Halichoeres Wrasse for pest control
Mitratus Butterfly?
Flame Angel
1 year later - Mandarin or unless can get my hands on one of the pellet feeding ORA mandarin before that.

Still constantly revising my LS plan. One of the pleasures of tank setup stage. I probably have space for one more big guy.

How about adding a scribbled angel? My majestic is pretty mellow but it is huge. 7".

Do you guys think the newcomer will be tolerated? Interested to hear your views esp. if you have experience mixing these two.

Cheers

FOr the SPS, you can take a FTS and draw in the SPS position to see how it will turn out. :)

For the livestocks, I think maybe don't need so many dispar. Barletts are ok.
Mystery wrasse i'm not so sure as i heard can be quite aggressive. Maybe a nice flashing pair of flame or laboutei is nicer imo.
Yellow wrasse is a must - for your tank size, can support 2-3 i think.
Butterfly - can try Copperband or maldives for control atapsia.
FA - good choice :)
Mandarin- i think if you cultivate some pods in your refugium and MT, you can probably keep it in 3 months time. Best is get from other reefers, more steady and sometimes feeding...

Lastly, what's your plan this weekend? Visiting cedric?

Cost likely to differ country-by-country but for your ref mine cost me about USD3K. Solid good.

One thing which I like is the BLUM soft closing hinge for all the cabinet doors. It means even when I slam the door, it will close softly for the last inch. No banging sound.

Also had the bottom door constructed with hidden air inlet at the bottom. So that exhaust fan can draw in cool air from outside the cabinet. Totally hidden from view in front.

Cheers

Hi Ketchup,

FA is one of my favourites and have yet to keep one. So looking forward. :spin1:

Share some of my thoughts about my Anthias choice.

Kept Dispar before and liked their peachy-red colours once they settle in the tank. Much better than how they look at LFS. Check out RalfP's tank.

I like the visual impacts of big schools. They look more like a group rather than scattered fishes. Heard 1 male to 9 female is good ratio. Horny fish!:smokin: Will do further research.

Also like Bartlett and it's part of the colour scheme I have in mind but an accent would do. About 5.

As for whether my fishes would school...Definitely! My 7" majestic will ensure :hammer:
