Jewel Damsel - Microspathodon chrysurus

I'm trying to find a fish to fit with my current occupants.

There is a blue watchman goby, and a pair of Clarkki. The tank is 30 gallons.

There is a beautiful Jewel Damsel - Microspathodon chrysurus at the LFS. It is so tempting, but I saw that it grows up to 8 inches and would interact a bit fiercely.

Does anyone have experience putting other fish with Clarkii?

They also lose the jewel marking and get pretty drab when they get older. They are also one of the most agressive damsels and will probably fight with the Clarkki.

My LFS has one in a coral/hermit crab tank, and when you stick your hands in to move something around or pick up a hermit crab it will attack your hand/arm like crazy. It will actually jump out of the water to attack your hand if you hold it above the water surface.

Orchid Dottyback, Yellowheaded jaw fish. Both of these fish are very interesting and would do well with clowns. For a 30 g tank, either would befine. If intimidated, jawfish may jump out of the tank so I recommended one or a pair or Orichid Dottyback.
