Jim,
As I’m sure you’re well aware I purchased this ballast in good faith on October 20th.
You said you would send it out on October 23. Then on October 25st I went in to let you know that I had not received it and noticed a thread posted by you asking for help finding a fuse for the same kind of ballast. I immediately sent you a Personal Message asking if this was for the ballast you were sending me. You indicated that “it was fine†and that you had sent it out on Monday, which we know is not true as the box bears the date of the 24th of October and not answering if it was the same or not. I trusted that you meant it was NOT the same. Maybe I should not have at that point, since I did not receive a straight answer to my question. You indicated that “you do not sell bad stuffâ€Â. Had you been straight with me at that time I would not have went on with the purchase as a blown fuse is usually indicative of a problem.
It was two days later that I received the ballast and being concerned immediately checked the fuse. The fuse holder was blacked and smelled burnt. There was a NEW fuse in it. This indicates to me that this was the same unit you needed a fuse fort of the ballast. I plugged it in to test it and it did not work so I checked it with a volt meter and there was no indication of power coming out of it.
This being said I then contacted you again via PM on the 27th letting you know it did not work. It was two days before I heard from you. You asked if the end caps were hooked correctly, yes they were, I also had people here when received and viewing my testing of it that can attest to this fact.
I’m not sure what happened to it when the fuse was burnt out on your end but it did not work when received.
I am still asking for a refund and will be contacting PayPal and My bank to see about the payment. I don’t know about you but $105.00 for me is a big deal to spend on an item that does not work. I noticed whoever picked up sand did so on the 20th which is before the notice for a new fuse went out or the ballast was shipped
I purchased in good faith and see that the threads are indicating that you may have had some trouble before with sales.
If we cannot resolve this between the two of us I will have to take stronger measures.
I apologize to everyone having to put up with our problems but want to make this right and seems to be the only way I can get contact made.
