Assistant Clam Farm Manager
Ever thought of living on a tropical coral atoll, working in one of the most pristine coral reef regions in the world?
The Marshall Islands Mariculture Farm (MIMF) is looking for a qualified candidate to help run the clam and coral farm in the central Pacific Ocean. Duties include overseeing giant clam (Tridacna sp.) and coral mariculture, in addition to general farm husbandry, system design and construction.
Applicants must have aquaculture and recirculating system experience, in addition to basic plumbing and aquatic husbandry skills. Prior experience living in an isolated island environment is a plus.
MIMF provides on-site housing and electric, airfare to and from the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Serious candidates would be required to commit to a minimum two years of employment with optional renewal. Salary commensurate with experience and ranges from $30-34K/yr. Four weeks paid vacation and one trade show or conference travel provided per year.
