A few aiptasia never really bothered me and I've lived with a bunch in my 75 gallon for a while. A couple have grown to a fairly large size and I've seen some smaller ones where there were none before so I decided it was time to trim the crop.
I didn’t want to add a peppermint shrimp or some other biological removal, the kalk paste or lemon juice seemed messy and hit or miss, so I got some Joe's Juice.
After reading the directions/warnings it mentions near the end "don't feed to valuable anemones," I thought well that's obvious, but what a vague and strange thing to say.
With the powerheads off I used VERY little Joe's Juice on about five aiptasia, and this morning they are no longer there.
The BTAs in my tank could sense something in the water at the time of application, and even started looking hungry.
I'm wondering if anyone knows much of what is in this juice and how much would need to be dosed to hurt a BTA? Have you used Joe's Juice in your aquarium with BTAs, or have you heard of anyone with BTAs having problems with it?
