How high off the waters surface do you have those Lumen Brights? I am thinking about getting them, lumateks, or something.

The bulbs sit 15.5 inches off of the water surface. The bottom of the reflector is approximately 12" off of the surface of the water.

Nice Fish! I have never seen one...

They are awesome fish. Nice thing is that they hang out in the upper half of the tank. I am now in search for a male to go with her.

I've had mine for almost 2 years now...great fish. I've been debating whether to get a male or not. Only negative I can say about mine is that she will eat any shrimp small enough to fit in her mouth.

Gorgeous fish! I take it that it's reef safe since I see SPS in the backround?

Mine's never nipped any of my SPS, LPS, or softies.

She never even looks or come close to any of the corals in the tank. I would be more worried about my tangs nipping at things before the swallow tail angel.

I used to use a two part solution but it was way before Bulk Reef supply was around. It worked well until I could keep things steady enough for SPS and opted for a calcium reactor. Which I found to be a forth wild investment. I have bought many things from them and have not been disappointed yet. The ingredients they use for Cal. and alk. supplementation are the same that I used just in bulk form.

My tanks is coming along good. My flow has gotten a lot better since my wife surprised me with a Vortech for my birthday. One of my best B-days yet.

That's one hell of a birthday gift. I wonder what you did to deserve that. You know now you will have to get another one. So what do you think of it so far?

Well it's not what I did, but what I will have to do in the future.....she is pretty smart. So far I love the vortech, nice flow through out the entire tank and I only run it about 60-75%. Everything seems to be much happier and by removing my maximods I have a lot less heat in the tank. My be I can get another one for christmas, but don't want to push it.....better enjoy this one for now.

You'll really like these Vortechs Elton. I can't wait till I can afford to get another one.

Here are some update shots of the Reeflo 200 upgrade package (cup + NW)

Nice Dry head of foam

Here is the best shot I could get as I can't keep the meter on longer than a few seconds without the cup overflowing. I have the wedge valve fully open and the air non restricted. This is the loudest I have ever heard a venturi sound. The dwyer meter really restricts the air flow because the watts jump from 118w all the way up to 146w. The dwyer pins at 80scfh and then bounces between the 80 and 70scfh. I am guessing by the air restriction from the watt increase that I am pulling over 85scfh. This is more than double the stock air pull.:smokin:

Thanks for the heads up but was way more than I want to spend on a male Swallowtail. Is that what they usually go for? I picked the female up for $40 at my LFS.
