Our next club meeting is at Michelle and Tim Bennett's house. We're planning for our next Frag Swap, to be held again at the AgriCenter on September 28 (mark your calendar!). There are plans to expand certain aspects of it bigger than last year, so that means we'll need plenty of volunteer help. The meeting is scheduled for July 27, at 5 PM. Michelle and Tim are at:

2958 Edith Nankipoo Rd.
Ripley TN

Hope to see many of you there! (door prizes await you, as usual!). Please RSVP in this thread so we know how many to expect, and if you can help out with the Frag Swap in September but won't be able to attend this July meeting, please post that as well.

There will be another organizational meeting in August as we get closer to the Frag Swap! Thanks all!

We'll be sending out announcements for the frag swap soon to prospective vendors and hobbyists who have sold frags with us in the past, but if you're thinking about being a vendor yourself, please respond here as well.

hey everybody! We will be having chicken tacos. Please come if you can, I need some advice on my tank. (had a my first crash ever shortly after we moved) Also, please excuse the mess, we recently bought an old house that we are "fixing up". Our mailbox has our name on it and I will put some balloons on it for easy spotting. Also I have some yellow polyps if anybody needs any. Hope to see you!

We're looking into combining the efforts of WTMRAC and MARS into a single frag swap, rather than split up our efforts and resources and have two swaps of lesser quality. WTMRAC has the funds to sponsor the venue (Agricenter) and has offered to pay for it 100%. We've already put down a deposit and paid for the event insurance for the Sep 28 date. More as this develops later.

This date doesn't work for Jay Page, so we'll have to re-group on the entire Frag Swap: Who hosts it? Where? and When?

IMO, it makes no sense to fracture this group. JB, let's try and get together with JP and talk about 'transition'. Thanks!

Sorry Michelle. We just got back home and now we need to ventilate the house for a couple hours. (Slight doggie crisis involving an unplanned major bombing of the whole place, no thanks to my sons puppy, the flea bitten varmint.)

Anybody ever bomb a house before with a reef tank? I killed the lights, fans and recirc pump, but let the main pump (left UN-bombed) running the last couple hours after draping the tank and taping off the fans. Ugh!

Hello Jay: As you may recall (or not LOL), I have switched over to the freshwater world. I have joined a group called the West Tennessee Freshwater Aquarium Society. Although it is a fairly new group, they have 130 or so members.

I have a question. What do you think about having a joint fall event? I know it is too late to pull it together this year, but was wondering is we had a joint salt and freshwater event in lieu of just the frag swap? Together it may have a larger pull and benefit both worlds??? What do you think?

Or, in reading the above again, a three way with MARS?
