July MRC meeting

Hey everybody, Bill and I would like to host the July meeting on the 26th at 2pm if that is okay with everybody.

Sounds like a plan. One month and a day with no stones (knocking on wood now), so hopefully, I'll be able to get off mine arse and get some notifications out this time. We'll work up some sort of discussion. Any ideas? I'd mentioned a general coral classification talk, but if there are any hot topics out there, we can pull something together.

hey Gary, I have an idea that might be a good topic .....seeing how Bill and Sue have a problem with some kinda green hair alage that they can't seem to combat....why don't we talk about type and possible cures and maybe someone might have a good suggestion on how they can finally rid the tank of this eye sore that I have been hearing about now for a couple of months that won't involve them purchasing an emarald crab that one day they'll have to remove (Sue doesn't like to get rid of anything..LOL) anyways, just a thought seeing how everyone would get a birds eye view of the alage.
Oh, BTW..Sue can cook :celeb2:

I can't believe no one has jumped on board to give suggestions to the algae out break since LovenBama had to share this problem with everybody( just kidding). We do need help with it, hope everyone can come and give us suggestions. I will had out note pads at the door and everyone can right down their suggestions as to what we need to do different with our tank and LEAVE THEM AND WE WANT KNOW WHO SAID WHAT.

only made sense to me as what to talk about since we will be standing in front of the tank for a while..LOL...so whacha gonna cook?:wildone: jk'''' gee why didnt you tell me I couldnt spell...duh make me feel like I should turn the light on and stop typin in the dark:idea: Other than that I havent the foggest idea what the main meeting agenda could be. Most of us has seen Gary or Jim frag stuff already. Leave it to the newbie to make suggestions huh?well guess what? I havent a clue cause I call
#1-800-help-Bil when I have a problem:D

See, it's just fun to post jokes!!!!!!!! What do ya'll want me to cook? Families are welcome, we have a water slide that small children love that is not in th pool, we have an above ground poole but unless there is an adult who would watch over them is off limits.

Just so everyone knows , everyone is invited, including their family,we have an inflatable water slide that children love and an above the ground pool, we a have beautiful( park like backyard) , we can remove the ladder to the pool and have my daughter watch over the children on the slide. Oh, we also have a play house with a slide and swings and best of all we have tree swing that adults and children love!!!!!!!

you forgot to mention..it's a SW pool....figured out whacha gonna do yet? let me know and I'll help ya get things ready...no I don't mean I'll come clean the tank either Bill or cut the grass..lol

Oh yea, our pool is a saltwater pool(imagine that). Have not decided what to do yet, don't know who is coming. Thought about
putting boston butts on the grill and having BBQ. What is everybody's thoughts!
COME ON EVERYBODY, LETS HAVE A GREAT MEETING AND LOTS OF FUN.
Hate we missed last meeting but was very busy with new Grandbaby being born and family in from Oregon(you know Vegetarians) The loved our tank

I'm up for some BBQ:).

I'll get an email out today to let everyone not on RC know about the meeting. We can do a talk on algae's. There aren't too many fool proof solutions (or consistent for that matter), but knowing what might work or what might be causing the problem can sometimes help. We can start with Sprung's Algae book and go from there.

Still have some of the club SPS frags. These guys are all over 2". $15 for club members, if anyone is interested. They have purple tips with a translucent blue polyp (under higher light). Also still have a few of the club Favia's. They had a pink center with green surrounding, but my 4 bulb ballast went out on my 6 bulb Tek5, so I've got a two bulb DIY rigged and am running Midday bulbs to make up for being down two bulbs, so they aren't showing the pink right now. I have three of these left and a small colony left to frag from at $15 per frag. Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll bring some along. We're also giving away a frag of whichever one is prefered for new members.

gflat,
Please bring me one of the favia's. I just love the other favia that i bought from you. We are really looking forward to the meeting at our house, we need lots of help with our tanks!!!!!!!!

gary,
could you pretty plz bring me a HUGE frag of that neon green nep. thing you have for me???

also everyone....i have a CBB that has defied all odds and is still alive in my tank for over 3+ months now. He loves aptasia! so much so, that i will take any aptasia infested rocks ya'll have. i will exchange some meals for him and in return you will get some nice, clean rocks back! i will be going to susan's house if you want to bring any rocks and you can come pick them back up at my house when he's done (doesn't take long). just lmk :)
