jumping fish.

So i ordered my tank today and all the stuff that goes with it, so keep out for a build thread soon for it!

The dimensions are 36x24x11.5 and my concern is the 11.5 inches high and i want it to be a coral dominet tank, mostly lps, zoa's, and some sps.. (a little bit of everything :)) but i do want 4 fish.. My list is some two clownfish (love them) and a sixline wrasse, (and or a blue spot jawfish or a leopard wrasse)... i believe with the clowns i'll be fine but with the wrasse's and jawfish im worried they'll jump.. a canopy is out of the question, so im really just looking for ideas to cover it but not make it look stupid. my Tek light will be hung over the tank so maybe eggcrate over the tank? or something. Some ideas will be great!
thanks!

I love a blue spot jawfish, one of my favorite fish!!! Every jawfish are different mine did not jump and always hung out at the bottom in the cave he built. Just to be safe, you might want to have some sort of either acrylic top, eggcrate, or some fine mesh to cover the top just in case.

Yeah i think i might do the eggcrate and spray paint it black, on the top just to be safe, any reef safe paint because im going to do pvc running along the inner edge of the tank for my return with holes place in the pvc to spray the water around.

11.5" tank...I have a prediction here

My blue spot moved all the sand in my 29 gallon biocube to the back corner of my tank. It was about 5" deep. I'm almost certain it will bury your coral.

lowes is where i got all of the supplies to build it. All for about twenty bucks total. takes maybe 1 hour tops to build. Build difficulty from 1(Hardest) to 10, would be a 9.

yeah the blue spot jawfish is a very debatable for me i prolly wont go with him because i dont want a mess in the tank

FYI - You can buy the screen frame material from HomeDepot. The screen is a little harder some come by especially in small quantities. I bought mine from a pond supply place online, but I ended up with a WHOLE bunch left over. Don't forget to buy a couple of knobs too...

There is a counter point to this. They are very interesting!
