Here we go!
These are some of the better ones that came out. Out of the 60 or so pictures I took about 20 or so are really fantastic.
The original file size is 4,000x2,700. I've droped these down to 800x600 (aprox).
If anyone wants prints or the originals I'll keep them on file. Your welcome to them. :)
(note that some of them a blurry when viewed at 4,000x2,700 and look better smaller. I'm still getting the hang of getting truely razor crisp pictures through aquarium glass.)

Here we go :)

This one didn't come out too well in the high resolution, but I LOVE the ghostly colors in the small res. Very pretty coral. :)

Thats all I have for now.
I have several full tank shots I still need to process. (also have the backs of a few people, not sure its cool to post pictures of people on the net so I wont)

I'm also going to find my personal favorite and see if I can't upload the full resolution shot, then link to it. Only place I know that will do it for free w/o resizing it, demands it be under 2megs. We'll see what I can find.

P.s. dont care if you post pictures of me !

Great pics Dan. What kind of cam are you shooting with? Also noticed you used flash, any good ones show up without?

A few more.
The more I look through them, the more I find.

A good bit of glare in this shot. Idealy you want to shoot at night with all the lights off except for the aquarium, to avoid any glare off the glass.

And the Softy tank.

Camera is a Canon 1Ds, 11.1mp.
I used a few lenses, tho most of them are shot with a canon 30-80mm f5.2, and a canon 80-150mm f5.2.
I tried to use my macro, but just like my tank at home, the glass distortion is such that the ultra narrow focal plane just gets destroyed. Only time the macro ever really comes out decent is if I shoot at a perfect perpendicular with no flash and even then it takes luck. So I don't bother with it too much. (100-300mm 3 foot min focus macro)

Actualy about half of the shots are take w/o flash.
All the fish shots are with flash, most of the coral shots are not. The flash tends to sap the color from the picture unless you can bounce it off a wall, so I avoid it unless totaly nessicary. Most of the coral shots that are evenly lit are no-flash. Like the first 3 or 4 I posted are no flash.
Its pretty easy to tell when I used it, since it casts a shaddow you can notice (can really see it behind a few of the fish).
The corals at the bottom I used a flash on, and the Xenia I used the flash on. The clam, most of the SPS tank shots, the hammer, the big softy in the back of the tank, those are all shot w/o flash.

Amazing pictures!! Dan, you need to come to my house, too!!

Do you have any pictures of those tangs taken head first? You can tell how well they have been eating (probably better than some of us with all the gourmet sea food ;) )
