June Meeting

I may need directions. I'm not sure how many times I can con Patrick into carpooling with me. I'm not sure if he feared for his life the last time? Yeah, if I can bring anything, let me know. I'm looking forward to it.

I love your mushrooms! But you did already give me some. Don't you want to keep some of those mushrooms for yourself? ;) If you really want to get rid of more, I will gladly take some. At least the black cap gramma doesn't rearrange those.... yet.

Don't worry Elysia, I have lots. If you have any rubble rock, I'll take it in trade if not no biggie. I will not be able to stay long on Sat due to other commitments, so hopefully you will be there in the 4PM hour.

Matt, with the earlier posts concerning the bringing of frags for the raffle, is it ok or not? I am not aware of any issues I have in my tank, other than diatoms I keep cleaning off of my glass. No dinos. Thoughts?

I don't think it was the issue of members bringing frags as much as it is for the host of going out and buying them to raffle off. Like Steve said, it isn't right. IMO, if the host wants to raffle off something, to offset the cost of food and stuff, I would be willing to gamble a dollar or two. Times are tough and hosting a meeting isn't cheap. An idea would be to give your stuff to the host and the host decides if they want it or if they want to raffle it off. Don't bring anything too special, though. I don't have a lot of time to spend on my tank and it will just die.
By the way, Matt. Those frags of orange monties you gave me at Billy's are doing good. They are actually encrusting onto other rocks. It might not sound special, but in my tank, it is. Thanks!!!

Kevin, no problem I hope they continue to do well for you. I am not buying anything to raffle, if anyone wants a frag or two you are welcome to it, I will be cooking dogs and burgers(and something suitable for Emily, since she doesn't do dogs and burgers, chicken???), my house is small, so some of us will be either upstairs, outside or downstairs(where the tank is). If anyone want beer, you will have to bring it with you, I will get the rest of the food and drink. Have a good one all and hope to see you on Sat.
Matt

Matt, you don't have to prepare anything special for me. Seriously. Most of the time, having a drink is good enough for me. And I drink most things, as long as they aren't diet (that stuff gives me headaches.)

If I think about it, I'll try to get some gorg frags ready. Damn gramma just drags them around the tank, anyway. I need to fix them up and get them out before he ruins them.

I have a lot of frags and no "extra", but I will gladly contribute if someone's interested in any of the following. Let me know, I just don't want my frag cuttings to go to waste :) Unfortunately I don't have any plugs available, so they'll be loose.

Full disclaimer should note that I'm fighting a winning battle against dinoflagellates, just FYI.

Monti Cap...
-- Orange
-- Pinkish-Orangish Red
-- Purple
-- Tan (hint of green fluorescense under moonlight)
-- Cream w/lavender edges
-- Brown w/lavender polyps

-- Tan Monti Digitata w/light lavender polyps (grows like a damn weed)
-- Giant Cup Mushroom (Tan & Green... Grows to 6" diameter)

On the flip side, I'm personally interested in getting my first acro, so any "extra", let me know :) Specifically, I'm hoping to get a bright colorful branching coral in my tank.

I will cut some frags for those who want them, so Joel, you should be able to find something from my tank you like. I don't want any frags at this point, you'll see, I don't have much room for new things.
Matt

I will bring a frag or two of my "unknown" coral to share.

An additional note, a "funny" from my kids. I tell them I am part of a "reef club" and explain kinda what it is. Their response: "Oh, it's a fish are friends not food" club. :D

yeah, I don't know, it actually looks like it could be some type of leather coral, don't think it is SPS though.

Hey if anyone wants to bring their Alkalinity test kit, I would like to verify that mine is still correct.

The menu for the day is going to be hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and pretzels and soda. If anyone wants any beer, BYOB, Darin is going to get some, I don't know if he is just getting sixer's or a case of something. I think I have PM'd everyone that has asked for my address, if I missed anyone, let me know.
