Just a few questions...

So, I have a 58g RR Oceanic tank that is now up and running. Here is my current set-up. Oceanic salt at 1.025 at 77 degrees but will raise to 79 constantly.

EuroReef RS5-2
Mag9.5 Return from my 20g Sump
Bag's running in sump
BareBottom
All Baserock
1 x SEIO 1100 (might add a second)
8 x 39w T5's in Tek Hood
Kalkwasser in auto top-off
Part A & B (for now, may add calcium reactor)

I was originally planning a nice ric and zoo tank but I just keep reverting back to SPS. I am thinking, with the flow and as many T5's as I am running, I shouldn't have a problem with any sps.

Any suggestions? Any suggestions on what not to keep? I plan to get a few nice colonies, either locally or from reefermadness.

Let me know what you think.

If I were you I would add a second Seio 1100, remember you were the one who origanaly told me my MJ 1200's wouldn't cut it ;), I wish I had listenened from the get go. I started with 1 1500, got an extra 620, still wanted more and got a 820. I now have in the neighborhood of 72X flow and I don't have anything settling, and all my colonies are geting random currents. (I have a 50 gallon tank)

From what I have read about t5's, you have plenty but I have no first hand experiance.

Just like anything else, if I were you I would start with a couple easy cheap frags (like digi and cap) because the tank is new, when you see how they do you will have a better idea about the capability of your tank.

Good advise. :D

I have been out of the hobby for about a year in total. I mean I had a tank about 6-8 months ago but really neglected it. Now that I am back in "full effect", I want to do it right.

I will probably add another SEIO 1100, actually i will probably order one now. My lights should be there today and the legs for the lights will be here on Wednesday.

Holy cow that T5's are bright!!!!!:eek1: :eek2:

I am waiting on the legs to get here and I have no doubt that I will be able to grow anything under the sun.

Will go ahead and pick up my other SEIO 1100 today and then it will be time to start adding some critters.
