Just a few questions

Hi. First of all you guys are awesome. I just had a few questions that have been accumulating. #1: your divers den hawiian live rock. Do you really expect to sell that? I Honestly have trouble immagining anyone paying more than 50$ for 15# of live rock. Dont get me wrong, it looks like a great rock, and Ive never seen hawaiin live rock on sale before, but still really pricey. #2. Any idea when live feeder shrimp for SW will be up again? #3. What do you do to divers den items that dont sell? Do you release them? or do you just keep lowering the price until someone buys? #4. Any mantis shrimp for divers den going through inspection? #5. My salt has turned into a rock. How can I unrockify it? As always you guy are great and thanks for the time.

Pea-brain,

In regards to your first question; 6 weeks ago Hawaiian Aquacultured Live Rock just became available for purchase for the first time ever in the United States. We have had great success selling this Live Rock and plan to make it available as much as possible. It is held at our Aquacultured Facility for 4 weeks while it goes through a detailed curing process to ensure you the customer receive the healthiest rock available. The price of the rock is determined by the unique shapes and availability.

We are receiving a shipment of saltwater feeder shrimp this weekend and expect them to be back on the website on Monday as long as all goes well.

We will keep specimens on Diver’s Den until they are sold. If they are not sold within a week or two of being posted we may put them on sale to increase their chance of being sold. On random occasions we may also send the specimens to our Retail Store. Rare specimens may be kept available on the site for as long as needed until they are sold.

At this time we do not have any Mantis Shrimp in stock or in quarantine. We do not have a specific date as to when we will receive more in stock. We would recommend to sign up for our “Diver's Den Email Alert System” so you are aware when new items are added.

Finally, in regards to your question on your salt: If salt is not properly sealed it will absorb moisture from the air and become very hard, rock like. Once salt becomes hard we recommend replacing it completely. If one attempted to mix the salt with water it will not be the same quality or have the same percentages of elements as there once was.

We hope you find all this information helpful!
