Just a quick question, No Dinos?

I've been cycled for about a week now. I used bio spira, and waited about two weeks, and I have been ghost feeding. I just dosed ammonia up to 2 PPM, and it was gone in 12-14 hours.
Params:
0 Ammonia
0 Nitrite
20 Nitrates

Wondering where the algae is... The tank is completely white. I used dry rock and sand, and only have a single t8 bulb on the tank currently, but the AI Hydras are coming soon!

Since I started all dry and don't have a good light, is that the reason why I have no algae?

Starting all dry slows certain algae from growing at the beginning. However you should have diatoms soon regardless. Maybe with a bit more light.
Other algea will come in on snails/ coral and such. And some you'll get naturally with time, light and air borne spores.
I started all dry too and my first noticable algae ( that was not diatoms)came in on my CUC of snails. It lightly grew on the snail shells and then my rocks.

Yeah probably has to do with the lights, diatoms will most likely come soon. I would do a water change to get the nitrates down and then you should be ready for cuc.

I did a 30% today
I'll be ready for CUC in a week or so. No need to rush!

Exactly, you are on the right track. Keep up the good work! And repeat the no need to rush mantra in your head whenever you go to the fish store

Hahaha pretty much how it always goes. My husband does the same thing. Why are your fish dying? Have you figured that out yet?

Indeed it was. Piece of crap. I gave it to a kid who wanted a chameleon. Made sure to tell them to never attempt to fill it with water. I had a 210 in the works but changed my mind on it and got a 90 gallon instead. Painting the stand currently and getting it up and running in the next few weeks
