Something i've never come across during my research. Is it okay to turn the lights on right away after adding it?

It has attached with half its foot already, only been in 5 min.

Cheers

Yes I would turn the lights on, depending how and where you got it I would light acclimate it.

I got it through the mail, it was only kept under 2 x 36w T5's but is not bleached at all. My 2 wild pink skunks took all of 5 minutes to find it..

I'm in the UK and couldn't find this window screening you guys talk of, what reduced photoperiod would you reccommend for light acclimitising it? I have 2 x 20k 250w BLV bulbs and 2 x 10k 36w T8's.

Cheers

I would run my lights for 5 hours then bump it up 30 min every week. Keep on doing that until you get back to your regular time you run your lights.

Along with the acclimation suggestions already posted, I would watch to see if the anemone seems to shrivel or move away, as if trying to avoid the light. An alternative way to acclimate is to put several sheets of plastic window screen (you can find at a hardware store, at least here in the states) and every 6 days or so remove a layer.

Well I had the halides on for about 4.5hrs and it moved downwards about 6 inches from where I put it, it's stayed put in it's current spot all day though, hasn't shriveled up. It's mouth was open a little at first but is now pretty much fully closed.

The clowns are having a ball.

Wish you the best with your magnifica. I have had a similar experience in the past when adding natural symbionts of mags (percs and occellaris in my case), they go to them immediately, including tank-bred clowns.
