Ok, here we go...... how well do you think it will go if I use boat bilage pumps to move water from one point to another? May it be from one rubbermaid sump to another or from the sump to the tank? Just brainstorming I have to cut corners due to KATRINA.

I think metal in the pump would be a problem. If you can find an all plastic one maybe...

Bilge pumps are not designed to run continuosly 24/7
I would expect it to burn out in short order.
It'd be a great pump to do water changes with though.

If it is a 12Volt boat pump, it may not work with standard AC 110.
