So,
my latest addition to the family, my red tuxedo urchin, has just been caught in the act of picking up an unsuspecting bumble bee snail and deciding he would make quite a nice hat! Seemingly oblivious to the snails quite violent protest, he has just proceeded to cruise around for the last 5 minutes, happily munching on some coralline and a bunch of algae.
I'm almost certain if I hadn't managed to stop laughing and save the poor snail, he would of spent the rest of his (very nearly premature life) as some sort of bizarre attempt at camouflage haha.
I've not been in this hobby long but already I've seen how quirky it can be, from my tuxedo urchins blasé attempt to kidnap a snail in the name of fashion or to my cleaner shrimps almost endless attempts at forcing himself upon anything that happens to wander by. So if I've only been in this say, 6 months or so and already seen some crazy stuff, then there's got to be some top stories out there?
