So guys if i get a little 10 gall tank and a filter , I got a rodi purifier would this be enough for right know , I would really like too keep him , and of course I'm sure he would like somwhere to hide

add a heater and that would be plenty, all he needs for cover, generally, is a pile of rock rubble to burrow in and a coupole inches of sand - they will dig too. You don't need to fill the whole tank with hiding places.

I've found that they like barnacle clusters. If you put a few small snails in with him you will find that he will plug the holes with the snails. They sort of knock them into place like bricks in a wall. When he wants to come out he knocks a snail or two out of the wall. Pretty ingenious.

Maybe thats why i lost a few "turbo" snails. well I got him in his new home now I'll post a pic soon . For know as far as description all I can say is that he is darker with slight red and neon green outlines on parts of his body , i don't know if he is a smasher or whatever the other kind , is so well see .

o and another question i was wondering what u guys feed your shrimp I would guess whatever I was feeding in the main tank would be fine but wanted to here from some experienced hobbyist , thanks for your responses.

they eat snails and crabs. some people feed them all soft 'dead' foods. when i get mine ill supplement with prepared shrimp, but i mainly plan to feed hermits, snails, and whatever crustaceans i can get free or cheep.
