Just drilled my eurobrace!

Finally got the guts up to drill my 100 eurobrace to install a second seaswirl. I was so tired of that ugly seio 1500 in the front of the tank. Tank is a LeeMar and i wasn't sure if the eurobrace was tempered. I started slow to see if the bit would score the glass and after it did, I just kept going. It is 1/2" glass so it took me about 15 minutes because I went really slow. Here is a rundown of what i did.

Bought the bit from ebay

Made a dam with a cup and duct tape (ghetto style). The dam leaked so i had to redo it a couple of times. Silicone will work better.

Filled dam with water

Used a med sized tuperware container inside the filled tank to catch the glass disc when it dropped down. The container floats and it was pinned against the eurobrace.

Hold your breathe and go SLOW.

Such a great feeling after it was done. Just thought I would share. Oh, this was my first time drilling glass too. So happy it turned out good.

Glad to hear it went well. I'd be too scared to do something like that to my tank, considering how much I paid for it. Decided not to get return holes drilled in the back after alot of thought, although it would probably make my system alot better...
