Just felt this was worth sharing...

I just wanted to share this with everyone I thought it was nice. I came across a add on craigslist "Looking for zoanthids or palys - $10 (williamsport area)" So I sent this Email:

Hello I do not have any, I have almost all sps but our reef club is having a frag swap at the Williamsport High school April 30th. you can Find info about it at: http://www.centercup.net/ncpars/

And if you go to : http://www.fragswapper.com/
under Pennsylvania you can look through all the corals listed and reserve the ones you want to be picked up and paid for at the swap. My listings are under Jbeckett25 I hope you find what you are looking for and can attend the swap. Enjoy and happy reefing.

And this is the Email I got back I hope he doesn't mined me posting it here:

Jbeckett25,

I really appreciate the email you sent me.

I'm sure you know exactly how expensive and difficult setting up your first reef tank can be.
I really hate to see people get really excited to setup their first reef tank and do a bunch of research to learn as much as they can, and then decide not to go for it because of how high the initial cost of setting up the tank is.
This is one of the greatest hobbies in the world. You can learn so much from this hobby, plumbing, carpentry, how to solder, chemistry, reef ecology, etc., etc., etc.

The more people who get into this hobby and the more people who see the beauty of the reef fish and corals, the more people will realize what is actually at stake when they hear about the coral reefs dying and may actually decide to help.
A lot of people who have seen my tank and never seen one before are so surprised that corals aren't just colorful sticks. It seems that a lot of people don't know much of anything about them.
Corals are just one of those things that seeing a picture of them just isn't the same and seeing them in person.
Sorry about my little rant, haha

Anyways, I actually sold the tank to a guy who had setup a 29gal FOWLR tank about four months ago and wanted to get a larger tank to switch over to a reef tank.

I really appreciated that you took your time to send me that email, I like to see that other people support newbies as well.
I actually just realized that I reserved a coral frag from you, the yellow tort. Very nice looking frag.
I look forward to seeing you at the swap,
Nick D.

where does the club meet? I recently moved to mechanicsburg about ten months ago from long island. I have not had the luck of finding a semi local club.

If you go to the links above you will find NCPARS will be having a Frag swap and meeting at That fish place on the 28th of January.

not to hijack the thread, but to answer the last members question, we have a club right across the river in Harrisburg....many members from the surrounding areas and down through MD. Mason Dixon Reef Club....website has more info.

We live in Hershey as well...you can log onto mdreefclub.com which has all the forums and information. We usually meet around here, but the meeting in January is in MD at another members house.

There are a few nice saltwater stores about an hour and a half west of here around the allentown/reading area, but other then That Fish Place there really aren't any other places close to Harrisburg.
