I bought this cheap from the store I work at and now that it's gotten quite large I thought I'd post a picture. Uncommon, I have no idea, I've never seen another at the store? I like it.

agree, difficult to find and great color for the tank. Very nice looking yuma.

Thanks everyone. Weird thing about this Yuma is that it started out brown with a yellow edge, some yellow was dotted thoughout but mainly just the edge. I'm not sure if my lights caused it to change or it just changed because "it grew up"? Now if only I could get it to split . BTW I went from 12K Reeflux to 10K XM's/2X250 watt.

Elite reefs gets them from time to time as well.....I have seen a few eBay auctions of theirs that has yellows in it....

Wow I just took a look at the thread a few down from this one. You have some nice looking ricordea's!! I see your from Kalamazoo? I'm from Holland, work at a LFS in Zeeland, ever come in? It's the only one around Holland so I assume you'll know what I'm talking about? Anyway like I said I really like your collection.

great looking yumas. I am starting a yuma / ric tank and would like to know how deep is your tank and how far away from the rics do you have the lights?

It's in a 92 gallon tank, tank is 21 inches deep, lights are 250 watt MH 10K. The lights are about a foot off the water and the yuma is about 5 inches from the bottom of the tank........so about 33 inches away from the bulb itself.

The name of the store is Eco Reef. Right on Main Street in Zeeland. The whole downtown is only 2 blocks down. You can't miss it. Very knowledgeable people and gorgeous store.

Rynon, is that the ric that was sitting in the tank that is on the counter? If it is, I may just have to kick myself. That is a gorgeous ric.

Hey Peggy. Remember a LONG time ago when you bought one from the "mushroom" tank? I believe yours was sort of orange? This one had a yellow edge and over time the entire thing turned yellow. Do you remember buying that one?

Yep, I do remember it. Unfortunently I dropped it behind the rockwork when I was rearranging the rockwork.

Going to be a little jerky with this question. Lets say this thing finally starts making babies, how much would you ask for a yellow yuma? This one is BIG and I would assume it will split sometime soon? I know some people view questions like this as......hmmm, jerkish? Just curious.

Not jerkish at all.....IF usually go with if I know you I give a price break if it is some stranger I keep it around retail. I may not charge retail full price but around it. Or I would charge what the original yuma cost me. So if the original cost $30 that is what I would charge for the babies......Something like that....
