Just found something UNDER my xenia

Ok, so when I bought this xenia it was doing amazing, nice huge bush of a colony. Well, I put in a pump and it didn't seem to like it and one side of it started melting, then it started to melt on the other side as well.

Funny thing is, it still pulses! Fast forward one month, my xenia is coming back, strong! But I just saw something living underneath the melting xenia where it used to be attached to the rock.

This thing was almost transparent, moved faily quick, and was not tiny (probably one inch? I lost it).

Anyone know of anything that lives in or under xenia like this? Good or bad?

Sadly, scapes, all these things I am finding I could never get a pic of them even if I had a camera. As soon as any light gets near they disappear, plus it was nearly transparent.

edit: cloak, thanks for those links! I haven't nailed it yet as to what it is, but found out these white fuzzy things popping up all over are in fact a sponge! _____ ciliata. Haven't found the slide yet again to find the first name of it.

But, seeing the slides... I think it is some type of isopod... could be wrong though, and probably am! One thing I love about this hobby, finding all these new things

I had a xenia colony that had one of the comensal crabs in it...It was almost seethru and was really fast when I tried to catch it, BUT, my xenias did great...they were the brown pumping variety.

i could be way off on this, but i find it unlikely that you have a pod that is at least 1 inch

It probably isn't, but looking at the slides on the links it looked like a pod. If I could ever see it again (now that I know where to look) I would be able to have a better description.
