Been out for about two years and am now gearing up for a new build. My old tank was a 90g sps domanent reef. I ran 2 lumenbright pendants with 250w radiums and 2 t5s for actinic. I had insane groth with this lighting.
My new build will be the marineland DD 150g cube. I'm thinking of using t5s this time and am wondering if this light will be enough for this tank?

Here is some eye candy from my old tank.

Based on those pics, I think you should be giving advice, not asking for it!

That should be plenty of light for SPS.

I switched from 250w mh to t5 and I love it. Better color (more bulb options), better coral growth pattern, more tank coverage, and less heat (my chiller never turns on anymore).

Nice tank! Anyway the 8x39W Sunpower has plenty of punch and PAR, but it will not cover your tank from front to back. If I am not mistaken dimensions are 36x36x27 right? Unless you set your rock under the fixture. This fixture is about 20in. wide, you can hang it higher to get more spread, but then you will lose some PAR and with your tank 27in. tall you might not be able to keep clams or some SPS on the bottom. All depends on how you do your aquascape . I know it is more $$$, but check out ATI Led/T5 Hybrid, this thing has some serious power, it will give you more then enough light .
