I have zoa pox on a few of the zoas I have in my zoa tank. I threw a few of the pieces that had it bad out. I know about the Furan II dips but was wondering if I could take the zoas that show no signs of zoa pox out and put them in my other DT? If I did this would I just be risking all the zoas in that tank as well? How well does the Furan II dip work for curing this stuff?

Ive been fighting zoa pox for the last three months and have been using furan dips. Some of the colonies were too far gone but others it completely revived. I dip the colonies weekly until they look healthy and all polyps are open. My tank is zoa dominated so as it has spread it has become very frustrating as new colonies are affected. That being said I would not move any zoa's out until you have solved the issue, just not worth the risk IMO. Start dipping and run carbon and keep a close eye on it. Good luck

everything gets treated that are polyps like it or not. If one gets it in one side of the tank, probability that something on the other side could also easily get it.

How are things going Jarred? Can you give us an update? I hope the Furan helped, hang tough my friend.

Mucho

I just threw the ones that had it bad away, but I had a few I kept with a few spots on them. I think the reason they go it was because I changed my lighting from LEDs to halide. I took the halide off because I didn't like the look of it and a few days later the zoas were fine with no signs of zoa pox. I guess the heat that the light was transfering into the tank caused this problem.
