My pride and joy.
The blue maxima is catching up in growth to the teardrop pretty nicely.
It was about a quarter of a the size of the teardrop when I first got it.
But now it's almost as big.
Has my teardrop reach its maximum growth in a tank?

I would love to take some top-down. But i've been trying(hard) and cannot get a good shot because of these problem.
1) I always get glare from the actinic or the MH.
2) For some reason my maroon clowns like to come up to the surface and create disturbance.
3) I cant really move with ease with the SLR and the Lens.(It's pretty big) under the canopy.
4) because of reason #3, my hand shake which results in a blurry pics

I must find a way.....

to get a clear pic w/o glare try this: find something round like an empty 2LTR coke bottle. cut off both ends so u have a cyclinder. put plastic wrap on a bottom end and fasten with a rubberband tight enough that no water gets thru. have someone hold and dunk the plastic end of the cyclinder just under the surface of your water line, while you take the pic. should work nicely.

I've thought about this but dont really know how to implement it. I'll have to try it out someday. I just dont want to get my lens in the water if something goes wrong.

Is it a digital or film SLR? It'd be cool if you had a dive camera or a water-proof lens.

It's a D-SLR.
Nikon D70s and with the 105mm macro lens, the whole set up is about 8" in length which is not very long. It just that my canopy only has about 7" of clearance.
