Just inproved my lights with out buying anything!!

Kinda feel stupid I didnt do this before. I turned the lights on the rack and the effect in the tank is huge, must more coverage

Here is all I did

More light gets to the corners now and the middle isnt so brights. Much nicer coverage.

Im sure Im the last to figure this out LOL

It does make sense but honestly I think almost all of us would have had the lights like you had them originally.

I was thinking of adding more lights for corner coverage but the way it is now I dont think I need to

The dark line show where the light reflects off of. No wonder the lighting improved

It's always cool when you do something small and it has a big impact I tweaked my overflow tubing (kinda like dursos but not) a little bit and now it's almost silent This hobby is expensive enough as it is, it's nice to be able to experiment and have something work great

Nice idea, I agree with Jack, most of us have them the other way.

I might try that with my new setup this weekend. Are you using lumenarcs? I have the minis and I plan on lowering them about 6-7 inches so there wont be as much light spill over. Great idea!

I actually am using the luminarc minis also. Made a world of differance. I have mine about 5 inches over the water
