Just making small talk

I can't leave my tank alone. I am constantly testing, cleaning, adjusting. My wife says I hope something is wrong so I can work on it. She tells me to sit back and enjoy it.:D

If reef tanks were easy to keep everyone would have one.

That is a very good point Dave. :)

They are easy once you sort out all the crappy equipment you go through until you find what works FOR YOU.

IMO, LFS's tell people its hard cause they dont read up on modern marvels of technology that makes things a lot easier then they were 10-20 yrs ago. Almost every LFS I have been too either knew very little about saltwater or their info was totally outdated.

You should come and talk to the fine people down at the C R then

5th Day Creations has some great information and the guys there are knowledgable too.

My wife gets upset that I am never happy with what I have. I got into this stuff last March I think it was with a 40g breeder. The Aquarium got me hook-line-n-sinker. I got the whole package crap with the 40g but I have enjoyed it and am set that it'll just be a FOWLR for awhile.

I then got a 70g (I swore it was 85g but am not so sure now) with PC lighting, sump/fuge for my school as a biology project for my students. That has sort of been fun to play with but we are still having an algae problem that isn't getting resolved very quickly. But alas patience is the key. Once our zoa frags take off my students will have some more hands on activities (Yay for fragging!!)

I also have an 8g BioCube nano on my bookshelf in my class (Having a cyano problem since I put two of Matts clowns in... too much waste production so had to toss them fishies in the 70g).

Then I recently got another 8g BioCube for home from my wife. I am doing a few zoa frags just to have some color at home.

With all 4 of these tanks I am ALWAYS chaning something. I always have my sleves wet at work because I'm moving frags or readjusting a piece of LR just right or whatever.

If I just tinkered with my wife as much as I do with my tanks...

From my experience, they dont like to be tinkered with, or when you try to "tweak" something, they usually dont take it the right way, hahahahaha!

Now if you spend more time talking to your tanks than you talk to your wife, I might start to get a little worried...

By "tinkering" I meant how can I improve this... wait that doesn't sound right either, I mean... dangit why does this always happen to me...

Ahhh that's it... I meant what can I do to make my wife happier! So I guess that's really tinkering myself, which sounds like I'm "in the corner loosing my relgion" etc etc... Wow beena long day at work can you tell?
