Just moved to the area

I am thinking about finally starting a reef aquarium and I have a few questions. I have been living in the Bay area for about a month so I am not too familiar with the area yet.

Is there anywhere in the Bay area where people get clean ocean water for their aquariums? (I remember reading about a deep sea pipe called Scripps or something like that in California......is that near here?)

I live in Fremont, what are some of the good saltwater shops around me?

I don't know what most people do for their SW, but I make make own water.

As for local LFS, you've got a few to chose from - Aquarium Concept, Atlantis Aquarium, New Alameda Aquatics, and what was Tropical Paradise (can't remember if there's a new name).

You should look into joing the local BAR group. There's a frag swap that's right around the corner.

how do the fishstores get the water? Does anyone know?

I know theres this guy with a leaky/rusty truck that supplies a lot of LFS's here (the water in the reservior is fine though, it just leaks into the truck lol). I heard that he runs it through some filters. I have only been using NSW for 5 years and usually get it from Lucky Goldfish in Oakland.
