Its late here so my tank lights are off, but i do have my room lights on making my 10 gallon tank somewhat viewable.
I just happened to look over and saw a bristleworm fall off my powerhead. The powerhead is right above my 12 head hammerhead colony....
sooo down went the bristleworm right onto the hammerhead, and then BAM the hammerhead closed up on it. I'm assuming it made a nice meal of it, but wasnt aware that hammerheads ate live bristleworms. I'll have to keep that in mind being as I have tons of baby bristle worms in my tank..
I can see it now - a bristleworm breeding ground to feed my hammerheads!
Anyways, I caught another tiny bristleworm and layed it on the tentacles of another head. It killed it and closed up on it as well. Who knows if it will eat it or not, it would be interesting to find out, but i'm not about to sit infront of my tank for the next who knows how long and find out. Perhaps some other night.
Anyone else know if they would eat bristleworms or do they just have fun killing them? LOL
Thanks
Stewie
