well a few months back i fragged the tip of my acro and placed the frags around the colony on the same rock
what i found was that they would incrust (but not grow vertically)
were the two incrustations meet, they instantly started growing vertically
so here i were this came to mind
say if you went and bought a new frag...ect....
frag it and place the two pieces beside each other 1'' or less and let them
incrust to were they meet and they would grow a vertical colony quicker
i wonder if this would work faster than gluing the coral on its side
just some random thought that came to pass tonight while i was looking over
the tank
also i perfer to place my frags on to flat LR that is about 4'' wide so if need be i can dip or move rocks around for cleaning or pest removal
i'll include a picture with this, tought it is a few months old, but it will give you the idea.
