Just ordered a Peacock, Hopefully

Well some of you might remember the story about my G smithii that I bought about a month ago and then ended up dying so I have a tank here that needs filled. Had some algae outbreaking and wanted to clear it up before I put another mantis in there and its finally cleared so today I was looking around and seen that Blue Zoo has small Peacocks for sale so I went ahead and got one along with some other stuff I need. I say hopefully a Peacock because it said its only 1" - 1.5" and I have my doubts that they have one that small. It will go in my 12g for the time being and then I will transfer him out to a 30 or 40. I figure its worth a shot and since they identified it as a Peacock I can probably get refunded if it isnt what they said.

Also, my N Wennerae is still doing very well and has really started opening up to me. He is pretty active now and in the morning I catch him swimming through the water hen I come down the steps but then hell dive back under his rock.

Looks like I got lucky and got the only one they had in. Just checked blue zoo and they are now listed as out of stock.

Good place to order from! I got a beautiful 3" Peacock from them, which has more of a tan/brownish back. I haven't been able to look at the gonopores/gonopods yet... we're still earning trust. ;)

You'll be very pleased with your order with them! I look forward to seeing some pictures. ;)

Hopefully, the Smithii that was previously mentioned came from them but everything else I got from them is in great shape. I just think it was a failed molt. I am pretty pumped because I have never seen a Peacock that small for sale and if they correctly ID'd it its a great find. Got a feeling when I get it itll have a red spot on its antannae scale though.

Keep us updated on your order. I purchased a smitthii and a peacock from them and had great results. Bullet proof packing and great customer service. I was surprised about your previous trouble. Good luck.

I'm sure that's the case with the Smithii. Survival of the fittest...

I can guarantee that the two I received from Blue Zoo (2" male died right after arrival) were definitely peacocks.. The first thing I saw was those blue eyestocks staring at me...

I should also add that they were really easy to work with when it came to the casualty. They gave me an immediate credit and were really cool about the whole thing. It probably helped that I understand that sometimes animals just die, and it's not the fault of the vendor necessarily.

Also, what can the expected growth rate be for a peacock that is that small? Ill be moving within a year and I am hoping that he wont outgrow my 12g by then but if it does its not that big of deal.
