Just ordered my first sps

Well, it looks to be bleaching from the bottom up, or maybe I'm looking too hard?

Bent, I'm an SPS noob myself but that appears to be the opposite of bleaching. Not sure what you would call it. From my experience bleaching is too much light, that however looks like it doesn't have enough which is understandable with all the above branches blocking the light. My green slimer did a similar thing during my whole light change over fiasco. It was under the kessil, but the right side of it wasn't getting much light as I didn't have a light over the center of the tank. Right side of the coral did the same thing as the bottom of yours is doing.

Edit: Off topic, but I love the colors on your rock.

Ben, you sure do have a lot of barnacles on your rock. Do you have any pictures of them out feeding, or are they all dead at this point? In the last picture you posted some appear to be dead while others are closed up.

It's very hard to get them to show up in pics. The feelers are almost transparent. Actually when I took the pictures for this thread most of them that appear closed up are actually feeding, it's just almost impossible to see in the picture. I need to haul out th dslr and macro and take some good shots of them. Just have to pry the camera out of the safe.

Most of the dead ones I think were all killed by the swarm of whelks that I had.
