Just ordered my first sps

Looks real nice, i'd like a pink.
Like others have said, I'd leave it on the bottom for a bit.
Purple stylo's are easy and grow like mad.

Stay away from any frag with a price over $25 for at least two years.

Do not buy sps from local stores,until you truly know how to keep them, expensive

Try to find local people that have gotten the gang of growing corals and frag at reasonable prices.

If you last long enough than you can buy three figure frags

I usually pick mine up at those dreaded fish stores you hate....lol. the last 3 I have bought were quarter size frags for $20 each.

I'm trying to slowly work my way up the chain. Maybe try a monti-cap like I did first and see how it does.

My LFS sells all frags for $15. They haven't had a bunch of SPS for the most part, but I've scored two different chalice frags for $15 each.

Looks good. Digitata's are supposed to be fairly hardy. I have a green slimer which is my first sps on this 125 and thus far it's doing fine.

My birds nest get the best color and growth being down low. Some sit right on the sand bed.

Mark's Purple Stylo looks very cool! I also like the Branching Montiporas, and in the Acropora family, I really like the Staghorn Corals. Guess I'm a Stony/Branchy kind of guy. :lolspin:

Hey, I also wanted to know how your shipping went? My last LA coral purchase was a Branching Digitata, and shipping was a nightmare. Punctured bag - 5 or 6 broken pieces - wet box.....bad bad bad.

It's Been about 5 days with it on the bottom, so I moved it today and cranked the lights way down. Running at 30% blues and 25% whites now. Here's a progress pic after the move:

Shipping was great. It was in about 9 large bags. Nothing punctured and no breaks.
