Just paired some true percs (PIC)

Let me know what yall think...I just put these guys in the tank for breeding. I still have to get a flower pot but I have a few questions too. The smaller of the two is for sure a true perc-tank raised. The larger I have had for a while and it was sold as a tank raised true perc too. It just doesnt look as "true" as the other. Since I've had the larger, it's back is turning darker so I am thinking these are both true's. I know you can check by the eyes and dorsal spines but even if they both aren't true's, then I know they will still breed.

One last question... Do they still have a good chance of breeding even if they are both tank raised?

Even though it is not a great pic, the larger of the two is an ocellaris. The darkening of the dorsal surfaces is a very ocellaris thing that does not really happen in percs. The difference in the iris of the eyes is very obvious in your flash pic.

Being tank raised likely increases the chances that they will breed. Being a different species may decrease the chances a little.

Yeah, the orange ring around the pupil is pretty obvious.

Phender, are my chances of breeding just as good as anybodys? I know percula and ocellaris have been bred together before but what about the other factor of them being both tank raised?

Would you agree that it is a cool looking perc though? I'm about to get some new batteries for my camera so I can take some more pics. Thats why it was a crappy pic...only one I could get before batteries cut out.
