Just placed this order

Hi,

Thanks for the order! You will be just fine with the Extreme 160 going into that sump. That will be a very nice sump setup you have put together there!

Thanks for the quick response Jeremy. So no problems fitting it in the first chamber of this sump? The reason I want to make absolutely sure is the picture you guys have up on your site is different than the picture of the sump that I posted.

Here is a link to the picture of the R24 from your site:

http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merc...ROD&Product_Code=PM-R24&Category_Code=Special

And here is a link to the picture from the PM website:

http://www.precisionmarine.com/html/refugiums.html

As you can tell the picture from your website shows the R24 sump that is purely a refugium and cannot fit a skimmer in the first chamber where as the sump picture from the PM website shows the R24 with plenty of room in the first chamber for the Octo Extreme 160 Skimmer.

I would just hate to receive the R24 sump like the one pictured in your website and realize I cannot place the skimmer there.

Thanks

You will be getting the new design. We have not yet updated our webpage which is showing the old design right now, I apologize.

Got it thanks.

One last thing, I was talking to Shaw from Precision Marine and per Shaw the water height inside the first chamber is at about 7 1/2" inches which is below the recommended water height for this skimmer. Recommended water height is between 8-10"

Luke did not mention that to me when I spoke with him online right before I ordered the equipment from Premium Aquatics. What can I do to resolve this?

Thanks

With this particular skimmer you will be just fine at 7.5". The .5" difference with this setup will not be a big deal at all.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Jeremy I just received everything yesterday afternoon and the sump/refugium and skimmer look great. One thing though, as I was afraid of unfortunately the skimmer doesn't come close to fitting inside of this sump in the skimmer section due to the very large sock holder not allowing the skimmer to drop in. I will have to return the sump but will keep the skimmer as I am having a custom sump made locally. Can you PM what I need to have this sump returned?

Thanks

That skimmer shoulod fit in the front right corner of the skimmer section for that unit. It's a possibility the top of the unit may have been cut wrong with a larger top panel. Does the unit they shipped you have two two drains or just one going in?

At any rate, not a problem at all on doing the return. Please email me directly with your first and last name and I'll issue you an RMA number.

Thanks,
Jeremy
