They aren't anything special but I thought that I would share. The nano is only a couple months old, and the 180 is just coming out of a wicked 9 month long bryopsis infestation that wiped out a ton of corals. Its sort of a blank slate at this point and Im finding a renewed love for the hobby. Hope you enjoy them.

I ran a lot of GFO and was more diligent in my husbandry. The most important thing that I did in my opinion was cut back on my lighting schedule BIG TIME! I shaved about 20 hours a week of halide time out of the schedule. I did a week or so of lights out before I modified the times as well. I turned on the leds for about an hour for fish feeding a day.

Great colors. If I remember correctly, it seems that you are shooting a high f-stop causing your focus to be minimal. I think that's called the depth of field. Like a sharp closeup of a flower in a field with the rest of the field being a blur. Try lowering your f-stop (opening the lens more) to get more of the picture in focus.

Yeah Im really just starting to learn my camera. I had the ISO set too low at first and was having a hard time getting anywhere close to the right metering without having a super low shutter speed. I cranked it up to ISO 800 and was able to get some swimming shots but I need a lot of practice.

I'm assuming all those tangs get along. I have a yellow and kole tang. When I tried to introduce another tang they tag teamed him. Fortunately I caught him before they killed him.

For the most part they get along, the kole is VERY aggressive! There is some occasional tail swatting but never anything too serious. The Naso acts as a peacemaker typically and shoos everything to a neutral corner. As you can see in the photo the Kole has lost it spines on the tail, that is a result of beating up his reflection on a daily basis. Hes a bastard fish but I've grown fond of him.
