I've just received my macro lens for my Canon Rebel XTi. Thanks a bunch to BLAZER for the suggestion. I'm totally still a newbie when it comes to serious photography, but I'm learning. Here are some photos I took while playing with the new lens. Enjoy.

i noticed you were shooing at f/3.9 and ISO 400....

for macro photography, flip the dial over to Av mode (aperture priority).

then set your f/stop to around f/9 (large f# gives you more depth of field, smaller f# gives you less DOF but a sharper image). go into the custom functions, and turn "mirror lock up" to ON, and "long exposure noise reduction" to ON. also, be sure to use your remote timer.

you should be using a tripod when doing macro photography in aperture priority....thus you shouldn't really need the ISO.....so take that back down to 100.

try those settings out and see what kind of pics you can get.

If you don't have a remote try the 2 second timer if your model has one. I use that to minimize shake when I take a picture.

You should also invest in a nice photo editing software if you don't already have one. I kicked a couple of your pics through photoshop below.

I dont know how long you've been into photography and thanks for playing with the pictures, but they're kind of overexposured. i had pix like that posted earlier with that kind of contrast and brightness, yet Maroun C. said it suffers from overexposure. I understand what he means now... still learning alot and working on it, but those pics you re-editted just loses a bit of its natural detail and hurts the eyes a bit. Thanks though and I do have photoshop cs2, but I try not to get contrast happy.

its also not in good taste to take people's pics and edit them and repost them without their permission, not trying to stir anything up....

.....but just sayin'......
