We'll I finally went out and bought one. So happy I got it, but I'm looking for a big container that I could catch the water in. Right now I'm using a 5 gallon bucket, but was looking for something bigger...Any ideas on what to use and where to find it?

I got a brute trash can from home depot. They come in sizes from 32g-44 and I think one more that is the biggest.

Drill a hole for a float valve and thats it.

Not sure what size you are going to, SirJohn found a 10g brute container at a container store in Miami...

congrats on your new RO.

I'm actually shopping for a new RO/DI system for my parents house. I think I'm going to go with AWI the dual home/reef setup. Anyone have it or have any experience setting up AWI setups? It should be simple, right?

Sorry for hijack

^^^^ Here is a picture of the 10 gallon Brute (The Container Store, in front of Dadeland):

Or else you can go with a regular gray 32 gallon Brute (at any home depot):

As was mentioned above, just buy a float valve (like the Kent one), drill a hole in the side of the Brute and you are good to go.

If you really want low maintenance...
I ran tubing from the RO/DI up into the ceiling and down to my tanks. There it fills a 5 gallon bucket where it mixes with Kalk. From there an ATO controls the level in the fuge. You could go straight to the fuge, but I like the kalk mix feature.

This saves me so much time and eliminates lugging water jugs. I wish I'd done it years ago. But you're a young guy, you can use the exercise. :)

Yea I went to home depot and looked at the brute cans. Didn't realize how expensive those suckers are!!! Plus with the new car payment I'm pretty strapped on cash. Just looking to see if anyone else had any other ideas!

I have one I don't need, I'll sell it to you for $15 or a couple of frags. If you're interested, I'll bring it to the meeting tomorrow night.

It's in good shape, only used for water changes, never garbage.
