Just starting out

I am starting out a Reef tank for the second time. I set it up in Feb and things have been running smoothly. I have a blue damsel and a firefish and a rock of brown button polyps. I was wondering if anyone in the Tucson area is intrested in selling me some coral frags? I am looking for some of the easier ones to keep untill the tank has been established for awhile.

Well, there's a great bunch of people in the Tucson/Sierra Vista area, and this forum is pretty active. We have meetings from time to time, and that's a great place for frags.

Welcome. The meeting today brought together twenty + local reef keepers and more than 150 corals were brought and sold at the event. Prices ranged from $1 to $60, with the majority selling for less than ten. There is no better place to start than one of these events. There are very knowlegeable people in the group that can assist you too with choosing corals and building a successful reef. Hope to see you next time.

Welcome, yes we will be doing it again soon. What part of town do you live in? What were you looking for? For SPS, the older the tank the better they will do, 6months to a year. LPS and Softies are more forgiving. I'll be starting a poll on when and where the next get together will be tomorrow.

Right now I am intrested in getting some of the easier soft corals, any live rock, or crabs or snail.

Also are there good fish stores in tucson? I have been going to aqua touch up in phx.
