i feel like the water is coming from under the sump but i cant find any laks anywhere yet. :headwallblue:

i checked that wire, its the wire to the return,
it was dry to the touch everywhere except for where that puddle formed.
it goes up over the wall of the sump and into the return chamber,
the other end goes up to my apex power brick.
i would like to point out, that in these pictures, you can notice the water underneath the sump.
To this day, the water is still relatively in the same place,
leading me to believe that it is leaking near the right side, flowing down towards the bottom of the pic,
then making its way back up to the return area, before finally leaking out.
so after some intracranial debate and some advice from schplitter,
i am going to drain the sump, and run some weldon along all the seams so i can be sure this puppy aint leaking.
i will also take this time to put a union on my return pipe.
got time to focus on the tank build again.
ended up draining the sump to investigate.
i found a crack in the acrylic close to where the water drains.
pretty much my suspicions in my previous post were 100% correct.
ended up getting some weld-on 4 and 16.
used the 4 to seal the crack (atleast i think)
then used 16 to glue a piece of acrylic over it.
let that cure for about a week and put some water back in it.
running for about a week now with no leaks.
also put a union on my return pump so i can take it apart easily in the future.
my rock stayed in the DT the entire time and should still be cycled.
i got some sand in buckets im gonna rinse and add this weekend.
still no leaks so thats great.
i finally made an aquascape im content with.
nothing too fancy but not minimal either.
also threw my sand in tonight.
waiting for water to clear up so i can get pics.
