Juv. G. personatus update!

Yes Rayan, saw them, but the personatus only shows itself for a split second in the night video! The one with the spawning bandits is just fantastic! it says quite a bit about the guy's (I hope we can have a name someday - not complaining, I'm just glad he is posting videos and updating frequently!)

A new video, with a Bodianus sanguineus, with the personatus making an appearance!

I am glad it survived the quake and the owner is still updating!

Gorgeous! I think the emp is a horrible mix for that tank, BTW. Just sayin'....

Incredible....thanks for the update! That is quite the collection. I'd love to get a rundown of the system with equipment and livestock specs.

I would love that too.... I hope one day a Japanese magazine does the rundown and somehow it gets translated into english...

I might be mistaken, but didn't John Coppolino visit this tank when he was in Japan? It was either this tank or Koji Wada's personal tank, can't recall. I always wonder how someone keeps deep water specimens in a SPS tank. The tank temps to keep these fish content and flourishing long term would be detrimental to most SPS. When I had my Bandit trio, I kept my tank between 70-72; at that time I kept no corals. Beautiful tank, so there must be a secret to keeping both fish and coral happy.

Jason i keep a conspic around 72-74 maybe 75 in the summer with a 300 gallon tank full of sps. there growth isn't as fast but they are still healthy and colorful. It definitely can be done!

I've also got a multbar trio and venustus which are also deeper water fish as well as a pair of ventralis anthias...

and 2 new ones!!

Its still hard to believe my eyes!
Was there a Wrought Iron Butterfly in there this time? How many yen did this tank cost?
Japanese reefers are even crazier than we american angelfish nuts!
FWIW, yeah that P. imperator is not a great choice, but hey, it isn't my tank.
And a deepwater Hogfish, he needs a top!!
