Juv. wrasse ID?

Picked up these 2 about a week ago. Any idea on species? They have blue lines running on there head, mostly red with the yellow tale and yellow eyes. Both are the same with the exception of the larger one is loosing the spot on the tail fin. I was thinking possibly Pink Margin(Cirrhilabrus rubrimarginatus ) or Whip fin(Cirrhilabrus filamentosus) but it is so hard to tell with Juv. cirrhilabrus.

look up the christmas wrasses,i think thats what they are changing from juv to adult.............

the are for sure not christmas wrasse they are a juv. fairy wrasse and are not c. filamentosus....they are juv. pylie

That would be sweet as that's one I don't have and for $35 for both I can't complain! I was Thinking Pylei but had doubts as I don't see them too often around here.

yes and please understand that there are a few fairys that are very similar so you could have any of them but that was my best" educated guess " .

Ok might as well ask even though it is a tad off topic (well maybe not really)

What is the best book to buy to identify wrasses? The one you mentioned?

yes its the most complete that i have been able to find .they have male ,female and juvenile pictures its about 200 pages and covers most of the wrasses that you will see in the trade .

i dissagree with them being rubrimarginatus i have seen alot of juv. rubrimargiantus and they do not have all yellow caudal fins like that..but have seen many pylie that have all yellow caudul fins like the two in the op...plus the dorsal fins look alot like a pylie as well
