Is this discoloration on a juvenile Vlamingi Tang normal? He look this way at the local fish store too and I didn't think anything about it because they are very good there, but when I look up pictures of juveniles I don't see anything like this. He's eating well and appears to be adapting well. I've only had him a week he's about two and a half inches long

That looks like could possibly be velvet or brook, but he's eating well. How long did the LFS have him? I don't have any experience with these, but I was thinking stress pattern when I first looked, but I am a little lose on this one, so hopefully the experts will chime in soon.

I think the LFS only had him for about a week but they do quarantine all there fish and treat them. If a get a chance I'm going to stop in there tomorrow to ask them if I should be concerned.

For future reference never trust no one with quarantining fish except for yourself.
