Juvi Emporer Angel with ich

Right now, the juvi Emporer Angel is the only one showing signs of ich with the charachteristic white spots. I am currently cycling my 20gal. QT tank so that in a few days I can put ALL my fish in it. My question is this - taking the fish out of the 240gal. and putting them into a 20gal. for approx. a month is going to be rough on them - won't this help the spread of ich? Putting the fish in a small tank with an infected fish will no doubt speed up the parasite's spread will it not? I plan to try the hyposalinity method once they are in the small tank and settled down a bit. I have a naso, a foxface, a sailfin, a maroon clown, a lawnmower blenny, a juvi emporer angel, a flame angel, and 2 small damsels. I hope they will be alright crammed into this small tank. Please help. Thanks.

That is way to many fish in a 20 gal. They will die from stress in my opinion. Can you split them up? Get a rubbermaid container and a hang on back filter.
I put my naso in a 20 gallon by itself and it freaked out. I think with that many in that small of tank you are gonna have huge issues controllong ammonia as we'll. As things can build up pretty quickly.

I agree and came to the same conclusion today after more thought. I have the 20gal. up and running - but have decided not to move any fish - yet. I'm feeding with garlic and my cleaner shrimp seems to be keeping the fish cleaned up. If need be I will setup my 55gal. that is empty now and put some in there and some in the 20gal. I'm also considering a UV sterilizer. Hopefully the situation will improve on its own, if not I'll be ready. (Fish look/act great - very few ich spots)

uv all the way baby!! also may help to get a neon goby or two to help clean the fish. my neons do a better job than my cleaner shrimp.
