juvi feeding question

Hi all. Got a beautiful baby maroon today, wild caught. I have it in my qt tank and have a few questions about feeding

first i tried cyclopeze.. it went nuts and ate like a champ. I tried mysis later, lil tiny pieces, maybe 1/8 of mysis pieces and they were to big for the lil thing. what else would be good?

I dont want to just give it cyclopeze. i have flakes, havent tried em yet, but assume if they are small enough it would work, just donno how a wild caught guy would like em

crush the flakes up, it's a great food for him. You can also try hatching baby brine shrimp for him. They are quite nutritious the first 12 hours or so.

soaked in selcon? cool. Ive never delt with such a tiny fish. couldent find and dident see its poop today, but I dont think it was stringy .. nothing hanging from him at all.

checked on him. hes sleepin vertically in a corner

You're very lucky to get such a small wild-caught Maroon,,that's the best-looking wild-caught premnas I've seen in a long time.

Give it a while to settle in,,,,, nothing wrong with cyclop-eeze for a few days.

At that size a full bar of cycop-eeze should last aproximately forever.

if it eats cyclopeeze it should take crushed flake without a problem. I also like to crush formula one pellets. They have always given my maroons excellent color. Really brings out the red in them.

juck.. i know! thats why im pushing my luck on trying to mate my maroons a lil premature (big girls not three inches yet) but these fish are immaculate. they had two babies in another tank that were already doing the dance, so cute

got metrozole coming and trying to find pipizine. bummer. but ill fix him up
