Kalk and 2 Part

For those of you that use 2 part do you still use kalk to help maintain levels?

I'm just now starting to use 2 part to try to keep my parameters as stable as possible. Before I got the two part I was relying on dosing kalk with my top off. Just curious if this is a good idea or will it cause more headaches.

You need to keep the Holy Trinity (ca/alk/mg) stable regardless of how you choose to achieve. Whether its Ca reactor, 2 part, kalk, or 2 part with kalk. Its your choice.

I use Kalk on all my ATO water replacement, and dose 2 part. By doing so i feel i need to use less 2 part. Kalk is very cheap, so why not.

Goal is stability regardless of what you use.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I'll just keep doing what in doing then.

It's a 75g mixed

coool.

Sorry Mlivvy- I respect a lot of what you say, but with this question, none of your questions matter.

All that matters is keepin the Holy Trinity stable, no matter how you do it.:rollface::rollface:

Well sir..

SPS dominated tanks do require lots more cal/alk and stability. 2 Part + Kalk is a good option for maintaining the higher demand. A mixed reef could simply be better adjusted by adding more 2 part or kalk. Thats where my question was going.
