Kalkwasser

Is it ok to mix you kalkwasser using tap water?
Right now i do not have a rodi unit and have been using tap water for everything in my tank. I would think the lime would make alot of the bad stuff drop out of the water and sit on the bottom so figured it prob is ok. also is it ok to mix my prestone driveway heat with tap water to boost my calcium or are these a must for rodi water.
Just want to make sure im not screwing things up.

Just go to the grocery store and buy some distilled water.

If your using tap water for everything else then you just as well use it for kalk and calcium.
