I do my water change 1/month. 75gal tank. I don't drip my kalk, I use 1 gal of kalk water mixed with RO water in a 5 gal bucket and top off the tank with it. I had a bad experience with drip before. I use 2 Tbsp kalk per gal let it settle overnight and pour the mix in a clean 5 gal bucket, top it off with RO and use it for top off. This bucket last on average 5-6 days.

I pretty much do the same thing at the current time. I keep thinking about auto-top off mostly for times when I am away and my neighbor (non-reefer) takes care of my tank. I would imagine anthing made will have Ca- deposits quite quickly,

Well my doser has been running about 2 wks now and i rinse it well in fresh water after every new batch of kalk helps eliminate the ca build ps we at least as fast.

Rainer, Yeah I would be interested in learn that Diy probably be easier to get the flow alot easier that way so when you have a moment feel free to shoot me a pm and let me know the plans on it. I know your pressed for time latly.

How is your wife doing? Better I hope. I hope everything went well with no complications.
