It does not, you must add it as needed.

You get a balance of the ca/alk in an equal ratio that calcification uses but it doesn't add mag. In fact if you do a slurry type addition or add too fast it can actually decrease it locally from precipitation. But if you drip, the replacement is only standard usage. Some say it depletes it but it really just doesn't add it. That concept has run rampant throughout the reef hobby with no basis.
